Who are the leaders, are they trained?
Troop 5 is led by many adults. The first group
is the Scoutmaster (Roger Brauchli) and Assistant Scoutmasters (5 to 7 parents)
who attend Troop meetings and campouts. Each adult leader participates in
training for leadership, camping skills, health and safety offered through the
Boy Scouts of America or American Red Cross. In addition, the governance of
Troop 5 is in the hands of a separate Troop Committee responsible for finances,
recruitment, organizing parent participation, communication and advancement
Boards of Review. The Troop Committee is comprised of 5 additional adults made
up of parents of current or former members of Troop 5. All monthly Troop
Committee meetings are open to anyone to attend and participate. If you or your
son ever have a concern or feedback please speak up right away to the
Scoutmaster. There is nothing more important then making sure your son is
enjoying his Troop 5 experience.
