Thank you for visiting my Eagle Scout Project fundraiser.
My name is Niam Abbas. I am a senior at Columbia High School and a Life Scout with Troop 5 Maplewood.
For my Eagle Scout project, I am organizing a book drive to collect new and gently used books for elementary school children in grades 1–5. Working with the South Mountain YMCA, the books will go to children and families through the South Mountain YMCA and other YMCAs in the area. Book donations will be collected from South Orange, Maplewood and the surrounding communities.
I will be leading volunteers to collect, sort, pack, deliver and distribute the books. The money raised will pay for the supplies and materials needed to get the books into children’s hands.
My goal is to spread a love of reading and learning to as many kids as possible who may not have many books at home, and to give them the chance to read and learn outside of school.
Thank you so much for supporting my project!
