Troop 5 Visits ‘National Treasures’ in ‘Always Sunny’ Philadelphia

By Tommy V.

Troop 5 visited Philadelphia for a weekend in November, and had a very amazing time.

Upon arriving, Troop 5 visited The Franklin Institute, where they went to hands-on exhibits and learned about the discoveries of Benjamin Franklin.

The Scouts slept in Fort Mifflin,  a decommissioned military base where they got to explore the old base where many historic things happened.

After a good night’s sleep the Scouts cooked breakfast and went straight to the city to visit the U.S. Mint where they create coins.

Later the Scouts visited Independence Hall where they got to view the exact place where the Declaration of Independence was debated and signed.

After the Scouts went to see The Liberty Bell.

Before departure, the Scouts visited the Eastern State Penitentiary where they got to take a tour around the old prison, which housed Al Capone among others many years ago.
