In Harmony at Camp Harmony Ridge: Troop 5 Cooks Up Competition, Scavenger Hunt

By Peter D.

The last weekend in January, we left the staging-area parking lot for Harmony Ridge Campground.

When we arrived, we checked in and found our cabins.

We went to sleep, excited for tomorrow.

After waking up and enjoying our cold breakfast, we received a call to the main lodge for our first task.

We engaged in a patrol scavenger hunt, searching for various random items; the competition was intense, and ultimately, Troop 5’s Fox Patrol emerged victorious, by arguably “pilfering” the win from the majestic Troop 5 Bull Patrol.

After this, the real task began, and we made lunch and started cooking for the real challenge.

Many patrols had to improvise to pull something off, which was very stressful, but eventually the foxes managed to go 2 for 2 on this trip.

Later we had a wonderful and humorous campfire, then headed to bed after a long day.

We all had a lot of fun but we headed home to relax  the next day.
