We left around 7 p.m. on a Friday in May and got to our destination — Harriman State Park — about an hour later.

Once we arrived, we set up camp and headed to bed for the long hike in the morning.

We got up, had breakfast at 7 a.m. and left for the mountains.

We hiked up a mountain. The terrain was very rocky and steep. We even saw many snakes, birds, and other wildlife along the way.

We then went back down to a valley to cross over a river to get to the Appalachian Trail.

Along the river, we saw many aquatic wildlife, like fish and frogs. The trail was also infested with tons of centipedes. We hiked for a few hours, then we had lunch when we got back to camp.

After lunch, we drove over to a different lake, Greenwood Lake, where we rented different paddle boards and kayaks. We splashed around and had great fun in the water.

Once the fun was over, we headed home for dinner.

While we waited around for dinner to cook, we hung out and fished in the lake.

As the sun set, we got some beautiful photos. We had dinner by the lake and hung out some more. Then we headed off to bed after a long day.

We woke up with our stomachs rumbling.

We had breakfast and packed up our stuff before pickup and vespers.
